Day 1: Arrival In Phnom Penh
Arrive at the airport and transfer to your hotel, where a welcome drink awaits during check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax at leisure.
Day 2: Phnom Penh (B/L)
Explore Phnom Penh by Cyclo, immersing yourself in the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Start at Wat Phnom, the birthplace of the capital, then visit the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, and
the National Museum, home to a vast collection of Khmer art. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Sleng Museum, a former high school turned interrogation facility during the Khmer Rouge regime. Later, explore the Central Market and the bustling Russian Market, a labyrinth of stalls offering everything from crafts
to jewellery.
Day 3: Phnom Penh To Kampong Thom (B/L)
Travel overland to Kampong Thom, stopping at the infamous Spider & Insect Market in Skun to sample unique local snacks. After lunch at your hotel, embark on an excursion to Sambor Prei Kuk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This former capital of the pre-Angkorian Empire features impressive monuments primarily built in the 7th century, located about 30 km from town.
Day 4: Kampong Thom To Siem Reap (B/L)
Depart for Siem Reap, visiting the Naga Bridge in Kampong Kdei en route. Before reaching Siem Reap, explore Kampong Kleang, a stilted and
floating village on Tonle Sap, Southeast Asia’s lar- gest lake. Enjoy a boat trip to witness the floating houses and their unique seasonal adaptations.
Lunch will be served at a local homestay or res- taurant before continuing to Siem Reap.
Day 5: Siem Reap (B)
Begin your day before dawn to witness the stun- ning sunrise over Angkor Wat. After sunrise, ex- plore the central complex of Angkor, followed by breakfast at a local restaurant nearby. Experience a monk blessing ceremony in an active pagoda, then head to the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom, which houses magnificent temples from the reign of King Jayavarman VII. Marvel at the stone faces of Avalokiteshvara and visit the Bayon temple, adorned with numerous stone faces. Discover the Terrace of Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King, and later visit Ta Prohm, known for its mas- sive trees entwined with ancient walls.
Day 6: Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Visit the Damdek local market before heading to Beng Mealea temple. This temple, built from square sandstone blocks, is partially engulfed in vegetation and showcases intricate 12th-century decorations. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting Banteay Srei temple. On the way back, stop at the Landmine Museum to learn about demining efforts and see defused landmines. Also, visit a local village to observe traditional sugar palm production.
Day 7: Siem Reap To Battambang (B/L)
Transfer to Battambang, known for its well-pre- served French colonial architecture. Explore this picturesque city, home to small temples, markets, and local art galleries. Experience a ride on the Bamboo Train, a unique mode of transport made from bamboo sticks, allowing you to traverse a scenic 8 km stretch of track. After your ride, stroll through the town and visit charming colonial buildings and local art galleries.
Day 8: Battambang To Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Enjoy a morning village tour by Remork (Tuk Tuk), exploring the countryside around Battambang. Visit local families producing traditional products such as rice paper, dried bananas, and rice wine, learning about their generational crafts. Taste fresh products directly from local kitchens, and relax in a traditional Khmer house with seasonal fruits and coconut water. Conclude your morning at a memorial site for Khmer Rouge victims. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Siem Reap for a sumptuous Khmer Farewell Dinner at a beautiful local restaurant.
Day 9: Departure From Siem Reap (B)
It’s time to bid farewell and reflect on the won- derful memories created during your journey. A transfer will take you to the airport for your onward travel.
